A Learning Community is a group of students who enroll in the same classes for a semester, a year, or sometimes longer, and who work together with their faculty to develop their own thinking and learning skills. Learning Communities meet many of the General Education requirements - those courses all students are required to take their first 2 years in college - in a more focused way than courses selected independently of one another.
