Opening at the Contemporary Art Museum
The
Contemporary Art Museum at USF cordially invites the members of the Junior
Faculty Group to the first opening of the 2004-2005 academic year, which
will feature the work of two acclaimed international artists.
“Solid Water,” features the work of Burt Barr, a New York based artist who
has been making video-works since the 80s. At CAM, he will show a series of
video projections, all with water as an element, produced from 1999-2004.
“Blood, Sea,” features the work of New York and Brazil-based German artist
Janaina Tschape, who uses drawing, photography, film and installation. For
CAM, Tschape created a new high definition video installation filmed at
Weeki Watchee Springs, Florida.
Prior to the opening,
I invite you to join us for white sangria and ostrich medallions at Café Don
José (bar area), Sherwood Forest Center, from 5-7pm. For those of you who
are coming solo, this will be an ideal way for you to meet up with other
thirsty members of the group. Friends, spouses and significant others are
welcome to join us! |
